Keep an eye/ear on my blog for a mini field recording project I'm undertaking. During February 2011 I'm in Australia and I thought it would be fun to make brief recordings of interesting sounds, much like you use a camera to take travel snaps of interesting scenes. They won't necessarily be amazing quality or even perhaps that thrilling, instead they're intended as snapshots of where I am and what I'm doing when a particular sound or ambience grabs my attention.

Happy belated new year! To celebrate why not head over to the music page to have a listen to my latest tunes? Konono Yes Yes is a techno-tinged remix/mashup of my favourite Congelese thumb piano maestros, Konono No.1. Lightvessel Automatic is a drone/deep techno track full of wordly field recordings.
I've also uploaded a DJ mix of banging drum & bass from the turn of the century - a vintage few years for the scene IMO.

Amazing remix of Spores by Dan Akerman, AKA Le Parapluie Rouge. My original was a medley of sketches and ideas from my harddrive - Dan has kept the mashup feel but breathed new life into the mix with extra instrumentation and his own production style. Download it here.
