Hi, I'm The Reverse Engineer (aka Dave House) and I like going on musical adventures.
It’s finally here! After much research, programming, composing and rehearsing my new live set of deep, undulating, polyrhythmic techno is ready to unleash on the dancefloor. All the beats are based on the Euclidean algorithm, which generates sumptuous worldly rhythms. Added to the mix are field recordings from around the world and dynamic sound design. [...]Read more...
Like everyone else, I've moved to Berlin to try and earn a crust as a musician and sound artist. Accordingly, I've started a new blog to document the process - head on over to Brot und Butter to see where I'm at or read my older, pre-Berlin blog posts.
For my latest productions, head on over to Soundcloud.
A jam of 5 tracks from my new live set. All the beats are generated using my Max for Live Euclidean drum machine and many of the effects are of my own design too (see dhouse.co.uk/sound-art/max-for-…ments-and-effects/).
Covering my key influences of techno (particularly wonkier, more organic varieties and dub techno), world-influenced rhythms, field recordings and layered atmospherics, this set has been a long time coming. It’s been my intention to produce club music for a long time but until now I’ve never quite got the setup or the vibe quite as I want it. (If you want to read more about the process that led here, see this blog post: brotundbutter.dhouse.co.uk/15-years-in-the-making/)
I will be gigging with this set in the coming months so watch this space, or contact me at dave (at) dhouse (dot) co (dot) uk for booking enquiries.
